Okay, this might take a while but please bear with me. We recently booked an Awaken Package at the Hyatt, Perth. This included a river view room, with king bed in a 33sqm room. The room was indeed large, however, a bedside lamp had broken footing, and the bed was was very spongy and not a 'king' bed but 2... more

Very very disappointing. I was given an “awaken package” here as a gift, and was shocked by the poor standard of many aspects of the room. There was a squashed bug smeared on the wall, a hole in the curtain, an obvious stain on the carpet, dodgy repairs to areas on the bathroom walls. Only one bathrobe to share between... more

I was really worried about staying here after the bad reviews. Norman Khan the manager is amazing and really takes the time to offer the clients the best experience. We stayed for a night 23rd May. We arrived after a 19 hour flight from the UK and had a really smooth check-in. We booked the Awaken Package and got breakfast... more

I'm a business traveller to Perth and have been going back and forth weekly for a few weeks now. I had avoided the Hyatt due to the reviews on this site, but had little choice last week due to availability. Most of the hotels in Perth are charging rack rates during the week these days unless you have a corporate... more

Booked the Amour romance package at the Hyatt as it was my anniversary with my partner and we wanted to relax. The package came with a bottle of champange, a bouquet of flowers, (which turned out to be a dozen red roses, which is ok if you like red roses, I hate them, but they weren't to know that) and... more

This was sold to us as a luxurious stay in Perth. God help Perth! The hotel was a basic Hyatt. It was clean and the room had been recently refurbished. We were in a Regency club room so had access to the club lounge for breakfast and early evening canapes and drinks. This was fine, much better than the cafe... more

I had a riverview room and it was fine. The room was a good size and it looked reasonably new. It looks like they had recently completed room rennovations and are at the last stage of completing the cafe during my stay. The service was excellent and efficient. The evening room service was tasty. Breakfast was pricey at A$34 delivered... more

Unfortunately we stayed here for 5 nights. When we arrived we found they had started renovations. The jack hammer started before 0800 hrs and could be heard throughout the hotel. All the other bad reviews about the hotel are correct. Dirty, very dated and badly worn. My wife cried when she saw our first room. I complained and was moved... more

No, really.....is THIS a Hyatt? It has the logo on the building yet inside it's a tired and worn hotel. The rooms are very 80's and not particularly clean - something I've never experienced with this brand. And at over $260 a night I do expect more. They need to pump a bit of money into this one and give... more

Totally agree that this hotel is far below what is expected of an international 5 star hotel. The hotel is so dated and really needs a make-over. There is a pool and sauna. It is a good 10-15 min walk into the city centre. Spend your money elsewhere! more
