Booked here for one night..very cheap deal $99 incl breakfast. Room wasn't ready but when it was it was terrible. Very small, no opening window and smelling of over-powering cheap room spray. Outlook was onto a concrete wall. I asked to be moved which wasn't too much of a problem. Second room was a little better..but had been poorly cleaned!!... more

The Ellerslie Ibis and Novotel are basically one hotel, they share the same staff and reception. However, Ibis rooms are on one side and Novotel on the other. The hotel is about a ten minute ride from Auckland but can be up to 30 mins in traffic. We had a reservation at this hotel but did not actually stay here... more

The building houses the Ibis and the Novotel and the same reception desk deals with both. The Ibis rooms are very small and there is very little space for clothes, suitcases etc. The tea/coffee making facilities are on a shelf under the television and it is difficult to find a place for the kettle when you want to use it.... more

We stayed at the IBIS/Novotel Ellerslie over the New Year period 2005 for 3 nights. It was one of the worst hotels we've stayed in to date. The rooms were very small. I have stayed at the IBIS Wellington and the rooms there were much larger and spacious. It felt very confining. The bathroom was like one of those ones... more
