I stayed in this hotel for 2 nights for just 100 dollars, it was really great value. The location of the hotel was great, it situated at the center of the city, with walking distance to the transport center and the sky city. It was only a short stroll to the free city circuit bus and the link bus. Though... more

This hotel was okay. The rooms are really tiny and the bed is pretty uncomfortable, but the staff is nice and the location is central. I'm pretty sure the windows were made of ceran wrap, because once it hit 6am, you were awake! There were 2 very small windows facing the bed, but no shades or curtains, so the sun... more

Mandy, I am sorry you felt the bed was uncomfortable and I have taken your comments regarding the windows in our Double Bed Single Balcony rooms on board.

yes this hotel is central but the room is so small. We had cooking facilities but the room was so small and compact that we had no where to eat except on the bed. The tv was tiny and no cable which most hotels have. Yeah it was cheap but there is too much compromising done for the sake of... more

Thank you for your response. Yes our rooms are small but as you have mentioned we pride ourselves on our location. We limit the facilities we provide so that we can keep the cost down for our customers. I am sorry that your bathroom mirror was not cleaned properley, I have passed this onto my Housekeeping Manager.

Teeny tiny rooms but nice, very clean and central to everything. If you don't have a car and are just staying the one night, this is a perfect hotel. It is very cheap with efficient service and (if you don't mind the squeeze) has everything you need for a one night stay with a good nights sleep. For a longer... more

I stayed here for 4 nights at end of May 2008. The hotel is in the middle of CBD! It is a perfect location. I don't understand why other people rated this place so poorly. This is one of the nicest budget hotels I've ever stayed. Yes the room is compact but it is in the city for an low... more

We stayed at this hotel in early February. We had stayed in other Formule 1 hotels in Europe and were prepared for the compactness of its rooms. However, we were surprised by the grunginess of this particular facility. The halls were dark and dingy and had not been cleaned in a while, judging by the rubbish under the bench directly... more

I had previously stayed at the Formule 1 in Melbourne and was not very impressed, so was a little apprehensive about returning to stay with them in Auckland. However the reviews on tripadvisor persuaded me, and I am glad they did. My room was on the 15th floor with a double bed, small balcony and kitchenette with fridge, hob and... more

Had minor problem with reservation as I booked a double room but when I arrived I was given a twin room, which is smaller. The key didnt work so had to revisit the reception. Other than than, the room was pleasant. Although small it was well equipped, perfect for longer stay. Bed, pilllows and quilt were all comfy. Room was... more

We found the accomodation disappointing as it was noisy and very small. Our room was on the 1st floor and as it was not airconditioned required the windows to be open which allowed the street noise including garbage trucks, taxis, the nightclub next door and cafe downstairs and even people talking on the street to be heard. The sliding glass... more

The hotel was ok according to the price 69$ pr night that i was offered. I am a hotelier and working as AFOM in Dubai. First of all, you cannot call it as hotel and i guess backpacker. Because no regular housekeeping service or bell desk or whateva at least a free luggage storage room for travellers who wants to... more
