We can't speak too highly of William and Suzanne and their wonderful hospitality. They were really helpful, as well as being very friendly and sociable. The gardens are a particular highlight and are superb - a tonic in themselves. We would certainly hope to stay with them again if we return to NZ some day. Mike and Faith more

We stayed at Taupo Garden Lodge for 3 nights. It's a lovely property with a gorgeous garden set in a secluded and quiet part of the town, a complete antidote to the brashness of Taupo town. I had some misgivings when I booked, but this was a convenient stop off point -- I should have listened to myself, and looked more closely at the photos. Outdated and old accommodation, a musty smell which permeated everywhere including the bed, cramped bathroom, very average food, hosts living in another era.
