Good value and location, just a bit tired and room had a strong smell of cleaning products. No microwave which you often want in a serviced apartment. more
Our family booked in here for a 2 night break and instantly felt that pang of disappointment on arrival when we discovered all was not as expected. It doesn't appear quite so stylish and modern as the website leads you to believe. The rooms are shabby and tired-looking. There are stains on the furniture, carpets and walls. No microwave as... more
Just recently stayed there, booked for two nights. Kitchen was tiny- no microwave as advertised. The shower was boiling hot , no cold water whatsoever. Advised staff, and was told could not be fixed until the following Monday. Offered an alternative which was to shower in another room which was 8 levels down. I believe this was a ridiculous suggestion... more
Better than I expected. I booked this hotel as it was cheap ($99 for the night) The room was amazing...possibly a bit small...but very clean...got the feeling it was recently renovated. Didn't have any problem with the water...other than the fact that I didn't know which way to turn the thingy!!!! Great shower! (but not if you have a sunburn!)... more
I just came back from a trip to NZ that included a 5 night stay at the Central City Hotel. It met all of our needs, and the price was in line. For location, it's pretty tough to beat it...1/4 block from Manners Mall which is connected to Cuba Mall, etc. It also is close enough to walk to Lambton... more

Other than the hotel's location, this facility has nothing going for it. Our apartment was terrible: dirty, stained carpeting; filthy walls; stained bed linens; spotted shower curtain; old, dirty kitchen chairs and... more
I'd love to say it was excellent or above average but it wasn't. It was, however, exactly what I anticipated - centrally located, utilitarian and inexpensive. Small for an apartment but 50% bigger than a large suite basic furnishings and, as another reviewer warned, it has a hot water problem. I left the shower running for ten minutes before it... more
The problem that I experienced was the lack of hot water when it came to having a shower. I tried to have a shower at 8.00pm the was barely warm then, after being out til 3.00am and returning after a dance party badly in need of a shower, only to find that the water was dead cold, I went down... more
Good central location. Not as plush as some others we stayed at on this trip but had a really large 2-BR suite with kitchen. Continental breakfast included, delilvered to door. Would definitely rate it a 3-star location. more
