I stayed at the hotel for 6 nights on business and was located on the Club floor. The room was fine, very clean and attended to daily. The bathroom had all I needed. Stayed in one of the Club rooms and had a heavenly time. We felt extremely pampered. There were bowls of free apples in the hallways, turn down service, luxurius beds, and (best of all) access to the Club Lounge. A very nice room on the Club Floor. Excellent continental breakfast, snacks and drinks included in the Club Lounge, which has a great view over Wellington harbour. All hotel staff were friendly and extremely helpful. Good value for money. more

There's nothing much wrong with this hotel - it just probably isn't what you would expect from an Intercontinental. As others have mentioned this wouldn't be a five star hotel in most countries. The rooms are functional, very clean and have very comfortable beds. Hopefully they are due for refurbishment soon as the general decor and furnishings are somewhat dated.... more
