I thoroughly enjoyed the luxurious comfort and quiet peace at the Peppertree. The room was spacious and the cooked breakfasts absolutely delicious including homemade jams, muesli and muffins. The gracious hosts, Heidi and Werner, were enthusiastic and nothing was too much. The attention to detail was evident everywhere – I loved the fresh fruit and flowers in the bedroom. The... more

A wonderful place in a beautiful part of the country matched by gracious hosts. Heidi's cooking is exquisite and the food is well presented. You have to taste the Swiss Bircher muesli and this cooked eggs and ahhh..... everything is so mouth watering. We loved the social hour in the evening where you will meet all the other guest. Heidi's... more

We felt that this property was overpriced for the accommodations provided. It was quite cold in our room, the bathroom was across the hall, the breakfast did not compare with other lodgings in NZ. My 2nd trip to NZ and this was a disappointment. more

with wonderful fresh local produce. Heidi is an excellent host, the BEST we’ve had - nothing is too much trouble. Werner keep up the excellent wine making, your wine is top world class. We will be back for sure! Thank you - - - Margareth & Mike more

Our stay here was very disappointing, especially considering the price. We got worried when we saw earplugs next to the bed, and sure enough a loud train passes by just yards from the house. The room is filled with antique furniture which may look charming but unfortunately the sofa in our room smelled musty and it was decidedly uncomfortable. Save... more

Rather disappointing for the price paid, rooms were not what I would consider first rate. Very close to highway and railway passes right behind. Hosts were gracious. We stayed a much superior locations throughout the south island for the same rate and less. more

Jim and I stayed in February 2005 at The Peppertree in Blenheim. We were very charmed by the hospitality; Heidi’s Breakfast is mouth watering and unforgettable and Werner’s own Peppertree Chardonnay is just like a beautiful poem. We came as strangers, but left as friends - - - Thank you, we will be back more

We had the most amazing time during our three day stay at this lodge. The hosts went out of their way to take care of us. The facilities were excellent. The lodge has its own vineyard and garden. It was such a joy to sit in the garden and enjoy the flowers. We have the most amazing memories of this... more
