Bella Vista is more a standard chain of motels made somewhat on the lines on accor. Standard rooms, service, no unpleasant suprises, and no pleasant upsides either. Considering the size of Te Anau, 'convenient location' is more of a redundant phrase. Very walkable to the main eateries and supermarket. We must have had the most basic of rooms as it was very small and did not have a microwave. Reception was rather indifferent and we had arrived a bit before check in and asked if we could use a toilet. Were directed to the town centre! So overall it was okay but not great. more

Really nothing to add. It's a great location (easy 10 minute walk to the center of town and the lake it a 2 minute stroll) and nice room which had what I needed (cable TV, microwave and fridge). I stayed here as a base camp for my Milford Sound cruise (wet, cold, cloudy .. yet, wonderful!) more

This Bella Vista is well located, just one block away from the lake, and from the 'town' centre, where there are several shops and restaurants. Our 2 night stay was quiet and very comfortable. Unit was on the small side but was super clean and had everything we needed including small microwave and an electric frypan. Dont think I would attempt to cook anything too "aromatic" as you would be smelling like that for the rest of your stay! It was an easy flat walk... more
