We are situated on the edge of the Te Anau Golf Course, the Fiordland National Park and have spectacular views of Lake Te Anau and the mountains towards Milford Sound. My husband and I stayed here on our honeymoon, and we just loved it here. It was actually the best hotel/B&B we stayed at during our whole two-week trip to NZ. Dawn and Mark, the owners, have built a beautiful house overlooking the lake in Fiordland. With total privacy for each guest., each room is sound-proofed, some have terraces -- and all is surrounded by quiet pasture land - and five minutes walk to the river and woods. We stayed with Dawn and Mark for 2 days while in Te Anau. What a fantastic time. We had stayed in good quality lodges throughout the country but this was by far the best experience. The lodge itself is wonderful, the views are incredible, and it looks out on to a golf course which is a bonus. It was not... more

During our three weeks trip through NZ the 3 days in Dock Bay Lodge have been fare the best expierence!! Everything was perfect: rooms are on a high quality level, hospitality of Dawn and Mark is overwhelming and the lodge is in one of the most beautiful areas in NZ. Dawn is the consumate host. Welcoming, responsive, knowledgible and helpful. More than this, she has a great sense of humour and an honest directness that is very refreshing. The house is great, with very spacious accomodation and exceptionally comfortable furninshings. The beds are very comfortable so that you don't think about anything but a lovely quiet's night sleep.
