My husband and I stayed at Lupton Lodge for 2 nights... Wishing it would of been longer. We stayed in nz for 3 and a half weeks, and Lupton Lodge by far was the best place we stayed. From the wonderful greeting from Andy to his great breakfasts, everything was just perfect. We would definetly recommend this B & B... more

This was one of the best B&B that we stayed at on our 35 days trip. Very comfortable room and an absolutely delicious breakfast. We also opted for dinner and it was one of the best dinners that we had on our 35 day trip. Andy also advised us on the scenic route to Russell (he was right, the coastal... more

My husband and I stayed 3 nights at the Lupton Lodge during our honeymoon to New Zealand. After a long day of travelling, we were warmly greeted and felt right at home. Andy was so accommodating - anything he could do to make us feel comfortable, he did. The decor and atmosphere are lovely. And let's talk about the food!... more

We spent 3 delightful nights at Lupton Lodge. The location was great for touring the Bay of Islands, scuba diving at Poor Knights Island and sightseeing. "Chef Andy" is a fantastic cook and we enjoyed a hot breakfast every morning and had a gourmet dinner one evening after a long day. Andy was always available to answer questions and even... more

Loved Lupton Lodge. It was our first NZ B & B after a long trip from the US and then the drive up from Auckland airport. Stayed 3 nights and were too tired to eat dinner out two of those nights. Andy doesn't just cook good breakfasts - his dinners were also terrific. The bed was comfortable - a must... more

We were booked to dive at Poor Knight Islands and wanted a suitable local base to stay over for one night. We stumbled upon Lupton Lodge via various web searches and site indexes and thought that the write up's read nice, so we made contact and awaited a response. We didn't have to wait too long before we received a... more

My husband & I spent the first two nights of our holiday at Lupton Lodge. Host Andy was very warm and welcoming, and helped us plan out the remainder of our trip. The inn is in a farmhouse, midway between two interesting cities, Whangarei and Tutukaka. You can easily get to either place for dinner and activities, but stay at... more

This B&B is wonderful, full of character and charm, my husband and I stayed here for two nights. The owner Andy was very welcoming and full of chat, we both liked him from the minute we met him. He showed us around the gorgeous house and the lounge area, where there is free internet access, lots of books to read,... more

My husband and I spent four weeks in January touring New Zealand. We travel a lot and Lupton Lodge is one the best B&Bs we have ever stayed in. We will stay again if we ever are in NZ again. The accommodation is clean, comfortable, well appointed, and quiet. The garden is lovely, and the detached cabana, complete with a... more

Just got back from a quick jaunt through the north part of the North Island. Over 2000 km in 5 days, but worth it for all the beautiful scenery we saw. We arrived in Auckland around 2:30 and drove from Auckland to Whangarei during rush hour, which was surprisingly heavy (I drive in LA and SD all the time). Once... more
