We booked most of our hotels for Australia and New Zealand trip based on other trip advisor postings. Voyager definately has a monopoly on the system out there (this was the smallest and most expensive of all our hotels), but we felt the room looked exactly as described. The room is a bit smallish for American standards, and it is... more

After searching through all the voyages monopoly on accommodation in ayers rock and not wanting to pay a fortune, we settled on the Lost Camel, which at $145 a night was the cheapest available hotel accommodation at the time. we stayed here for 2 nights on our trip to the rock. We booked a "standard room" which is the only... more

We booked through www.lastminute.com and got the rooms for $150 per night. The room was well designedm, super clean and well appointed. The staff at The Lost Camel were superb and among the best I have come across in a country that has pretty poor standards. We ate at Gecko Cafe withing the Lost Camel and it was a very... more

Part of a 3 week stay that took in Melb, Great Ocean Road, Ayres Rock, Port Douglas and Sydney. Without a doubt, the Lost Camel was the most disappointing of all our hotel stays. Given Ayres Rock has limited options for places to stay, our choice to stay at The Lost Camel (2 nights) came down to availabity and price.... more

We stayed at the Lost Camel for 1 night in February. Our first room had an ant infestation - large moving balls in the shower, carpet and on the bed. Horrible smell of damp also. We were moved after a couple of arguments to a better room on a higher floor. Apparently the ground floor apartments regularly get ant, cricket... more

I stayed at the Lost Camel for three nights and found the place comfortable and clean. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. Although it is the only hotel of the resort that does not have its own restaurant, it is literally steps away from the shopping centre, and a 3 minute walk from the closest hotel (Sails... more

We stayed here for one night as part of our honeymoon. Although it's outrageous that one company can have a monopoly on this resort (after the Australian Government originally tried to run things and actually made a big loss!) we didn't think that the owners of the resort particularly tried to rip-off guests. Bar prices were pretty good and the... more

I have to say I was a bit disappointed with this hotel. I was initially really excited about it...it's more of the funky boutique style hotel at the resort, and that sounded great. While I had no issues with the setup of the room, I did have issues with the funky smell and the worn, kinda dirty feel it had.... more

My wife and I stayed at the Lost Camel over Christmas and I was pleasantly surprised by the accommodation. although small the room size was perfectly adequate and the room had all the necessary facilities for a comfortable stay. The main reason for coming to Uluru-Kata Tjuta is not for the accommodation and we did not spend a great deal... more

Great stay, great staff. The Lost Camel while a bit cheaper than the other properties in Yulara (one complex spread over a few miles) was great. Room was very nice with a great bath and shower. The pool is just fine and the mini-bar in the lobby is a good addition with good coffee also. You can walk to the... more
