This place was awful... On arrival we opened our room to be hit with the smell of sewage. After complaining we were moved. The rooms and bedding are old and worn out. The clientelle seemed mainly to consist of families whith parents that would sit and drink rum and coke all day while their kids were left to run wild,... more

Club Croc is not the kind of place you stay for a nice holiday or if you are on a budget. The only saving grace were the clean sheets and the pretty good breakfast which was included in the room price. We paid $120 a night and were a little dissapointed. The bed which was too singles pushed together was... more

As a travel agent I stay in lots of hotels. This hotel was tired, the bar/restaurant was ordinary. The food was awful, the staff are mostly transiant backpackers who just really dont care. The only saving grace was the sheets were clean. The room was dusty, the shower mould stained, the furniture worn. I wont be staying there again. more

We went to the club 3 friends for three nights. The club atmosphere is very nice and tropical. There is a nice pool, spa and the rooms are nice and clean. Also, the service was very good. So yes, it's a little bit old style, but if you don't want to spend all your money on an expensive hotel, or... more

The only reason that we ended up at the "Croc" was a delay in booking accommodation (our fault) and Airlie Beach was packed to bursting the weekend we arrived. The staff on reception were harrassed and after checking out a room by the pool we booked, but asked for a room on a higher floor which we got. As per... more

Crocodile Club is a rather old hotel resort which has recently changed management. It is situated some 2 km outside Airlie Beach center which is a little too far away to walk in hot summer. The sea is 200m away but there's no beach around this area. Free parking is available infront of the building and you need a car... more

My financee and I decided on a romantic getaway from work after a hectic year. The travel agent showed us photos of the "resort", and the price and we were hooked. We arrived - what can I say? A photo doesn't lie???yeah, right, just like John Winston H doesn't. The first impression on entereing the premises was the terrible smell... more

if you are going to stay there ask for a room on first or second floor as the top floor is the pits. sagging beds, rusty fridge, shower screen wouldn't close. don't expect any room service over xmas cos there is not enough staff rostered on. don't count on breakfast either, lack of staff again. whole place is delapidated and... more

We cant figure how people have rated this hotel as even *good*...we have stayed in hotels all over the world and this by far was the worst hotel we have every stayed in. The rooms were small, dirty, the corridors were even worse, with old dirty empty rustedout cans as ashtrays left outside your door. The pool is open to... more
