I needed a exceptional place to celebrate my wife's 50th and I found it at Echoes. I had two other couples stay with us for 3 nights and we were all very impressed with the venue and location with uninterrupted views overlooking one of natures best works of art. The staff were wonderful being both courteous and helpful. The food... more

2. We have been traveling for sometime throughout Australia and were very pleased that we booked into Echoes Boutique Hotel for the last week of our tour. Echoes is a rare spot for quiet reflection and relaxation. We were warmly greeted by the staff throughout our stay and the restaurant was superb, in fact, it was the best meal we... more

We usually stay at Lillianfels (which is superb) but decided to try somewhere different. The service is lacking, unattentive and indifferent. The rooms are on first appearance reasonable, but you would hardly expect a bathroom door handle to fall off and leave you temporarily locked in the room! The bath plug was not the right plug, strange how this could... more

every bedroom has the great view of greeny mountains with the luxury of your private balcony... the room is not that spacious but modern style and chic... the place looks too posh... but the best attribute of this hotel is the great and tasty dinner menu and also the restaurant's cozy ambiance ... the staff members are friendly and helpful... more

This is a lovely boutique hotel with only 14 rooms, every one of which has direct views of the Jamison valley. I'm not sure if the property has recently been refurbished, but the decor and bathrooms all looked squeaky clean and in very good order. We stayed 3 nights and had dinner across the road at Lilianfels on the first... more

My wife booked this hotel for an intended three-night stay during our honeymoon. We left without staying a night, deciding to forfeit the 'non-refundable' $1200 we stupidly prepaid for our stay. This deserves some explanation. Firstly, we were assured, after specifically asking the staff when booking, that the hotel room was very private - given we were on honeymoon and... more

A friend and I decided to stay here in 2005 and I think I'm still recovering from the experience. It wasn't so much the room (I'll get to that in a minute) as it was our treatment by the hotel's manager. The room itself was an utter disappointment for the hefty price tag. We had booked what was marketed as... more

I stayed here for two nights and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The bedroom was lovely - with a view of the valley from our bedroom - and whisper quiet. The bathroom could be upgraded a little, but it was a minor point. The staff were friendly and attentive, and as our stay included breakfast, we enjoyed the restaurant as well.... more

There seems to be a common pattern with the reviews for this hotel - that of it's in a great location but is too expensive. I share this sentiment entirely. I have stayed in the best 5 star hotels in Sydney which were cheaper than the 4 star Echoes. Don't get me wrong, my partner and I had a great... more

My husband and I normally stay at Lillianfels and decided to give Echoes a try. The room was very disappointing, and certainly not worth what we paid. While the bed itself was great, the rest of the room left a lot to be desired. The bathroom was miniscule and the toilet placement almost caused a dislocated elbow it was squeezed... more
