Hotel Kavalir is a very reasonably priced option for Prague, as long as you are happy to not be within walking distance of the more historic areas in the centre. It should be noted that transport is right at the front door and we had no problems traveling in and out of central Prague (around ten minutes). And nobody ever... more

very good value for money. Staff friendly and knowledgeable of city. Good basic breakfast. Ideal hotel for a weekend break. Trams right outside hotel easy links to center. Tram 9 to center, then Tram 23 to castle area. more

A good hotel in front of the tram and very easy to go to the center. Clean, good breakfast and nice value for money. I payed 48 euros and my room was in the back of hotel. The room is very big and clean. more

I've just returned from an enjoyable weekend in Prague where I stayed in the Kavalir hotel. The Hotel itself is a good three star location; it was clean, had friendly staff and the rooms were comfortable. Breakfast was a standard buffet with breads, meats, cheeses, cereals, etc. There was a modest selection of hot food too, plus tea, coffee, and... more

we stayed in the hotel kavalir in september last year and loved it! The rooms were clean and nice enough and our only complaint was that sometimes the light in the bathroom would switch off if you didn't move around for a while! The links to the city were amazing - so much so that we were barely in our... more

A quiet hotel for sleeping in, having breakfast and nothing else. No lunch, dinner, bar or travellers cheque encashment services. Rooms clean, maid service every day, staff helpful, good English. Trams on doorstep, Metro at Andel to main town square four tram-stops away from hotel. Area at night a bit deserted and dark. A lot of empty shops. more

It is noisy there because of the traffic, so we asked for a rear room, which they gave us. However, it was hot(and we are from the deep south and used to heat) but the window could not be left open because of safety concerns. The bed linens must be from the communist era. I would love to revisit Prague,... more

Have just visited Prague which is a magical city. We stayed at the small hotel Kavalir which is directly on a tram route so very handy to get anywhere but sometimes a bit noisy inside the hotel. The reception staff were very pleasant and helpful and the downstairs area quite welcoming. However the hotel is in a bit of a... more

I booked a cheap flight to Prague and, thanks to Trip Advisor, decided that Hotel Kavalir would be a good budget base for my break: what a fantastic choice that was! Okay so it's not the Raffles in Singapore but for the price and location this hotel is impossible to beat! It's a couple of kilometres from the centre but... more

HOTEL KAVALIR the only thing i could fault was,no aircon. if it had been possible to hire a fan or something to keep cool at night it would have made sleeping easier. but apart from that its a great place to stay ,bars nearby 76kroner for 4 pints,we had a meal at a local pub (outside turn left walk up... more
