U Zlute Boty (The Yellow Shoe) is in a quiet part of town, in the winding historic streets below the castle, near the parliament and foreign embassies. It feels family-owned and isn't big by any means, so if it's five-star glitz that you want, forget it, but if you are looking for a friendly welcome in a peaceful and old... more

U zlute boty is a great hotel between Charles Bridge and the Castle. We stayed in room no.11 and it is really comfortable and large. People at the reception were kind and helpful ( for example they put thick and dark curtains in my children's room)The breakfast was ok, with a large variety of food. We stayed in Prague for... more

We stayed three wonderful nights at Dum U Zlute Boty in April 2008. The hotel is situated in the most perfect location in Prague. It is in the Mala Strana (Little Quarter) District right below the castle. It is a very charming, quaint hotel dating back to the 1600's. It has all the modern conveniences, but the wonderful ambience of... more

Absolutely delightful place, charmingly furnished, wonderful staff - we were served breakfast by the daughter of the family, who could not have been more friendly and kept offering to make us more bacon and eggs when we lingered over our breakfast because we got chatting to some fellow guests. Location is superb, in a quiet street but close to the... more

Have just got back from a 5-day Easter Break in Prague. I bought my flight ticket from Sky Europe’s website about 5 weeks prior to traveling only to realize that getting a hotel or B & B would not be an easy feat during Easter. I spent some time scrutinizing travelers’ reviews on TA before narrowing the options by contacting... more

Hello, we have just spent a week in this hotel and we confirm all the topics described in the previous review: very nice and big room, very nice furniture, very nice people and very romantic place. The hotel is closed to the several interest of Prague and it is in a very small street with nearly no car. The only... more

We have just returned from a 3 night stay at The Yellow Shoe and the only way I can describe the hotel was exceptional. The staff were fantastic and spoke excellent English and the breakfast was fantastic - all of the usual European Ham and Cheese but every day there was a hot alternative - scrambled egg or fried egg... more

This is a great little hotel in a very quiet and safe location; there are quite a few embassies (and police) nearby. The one-night-free offer meant it was a real bargain, too. We stayed in what the hotel calls the studio, which was two adjoining rooms overlooking the small courtyard. The rooms were simply furnished, but spacious, quiet, comfortable, warm... more

Small hotel, large rooms, outstandingly quiet area and the most friendly and helpful staff you could ever desire, the YELLOW SHOE HOTEL is built to perfection!!!!!!!!!!!! With a maximum of fifteen lodgers at a time, this is as silent as you could wish for. The rooms are large and this hotel also contains some fabulous suites...... The rooms were kept clean... more

Just returned from Prague, where we stayed at the U zlote Boty, after reading all the good reviews. And we definitely go on with positive feed-back, it's a very small Hotel (7 rooms) but in a great location, right next to Malastranka Namesti, down the stairs of the Castle. It's a very safe area, all Embassys are here, US included,... more
