The Grand is a superb hotel opposite the main station in Brno. The bus (76) from the airport stops outside the door, virtually! The hotel seems to have been recently refurbished, with a very stylish feel to the rooms, reception and the restaurant. The hotel itself probably was grand at some point in time, but I had a corner suite on the third floor and the best thing about the room was the bathroom which was new and clean... the bedroom, well it was two single beds pushed together, curtains which kept out no light, and the biggest office plant I've ever seen... more

This hotel does not live up to its name. The bedroom doors are padded, the lifts were installed in the middle ages and the rooms are small and very simple.
