We stayed at this hotel for one night before flying home as it appeared to be the only hotel with rooms available. I'm not surprised - one night was more than enough! Our "standard" room could only have been described as sub standard - it was truly basic, tatty & tired & the bathroom (one at a time please) was... more

I have recently returned from a stay at the City Hotel Bratislava, the hotel itself is ok. Rooms were basic and a bit shabby and very warm. Breakfast was ok. I was part of a stag party and the hotel is definitely too far out of town. Spend the extra and go to the city centre, as you will spend... more

we booked through hotelsbyphone.com, who gave me a good price for 40 of us, yes i knew that the hotel would be out of town a bit but perhaps that worked for us a as a group, who enjoyed a whole afternoon just sitting at one of two independent bars behind the hotel! which was cheaper than the already cheap... more

The hotel has been well described by previous reviewers - an old socialist Interhotel 30 mins aways from downtown Bratislava in a barren suburb. Here are my two cents' worth: The business class rooms are okay, especially those with a view of the Castle. I stayed in one; some colleagues stayed in "normal" ones, which are decidedly not okay. The... more

If you like scarcely improved socialist hotels this is the place for you otherwise avoid this one. Located in the midst of "prol stack " apartment blocks - some demolition sites but no new builds and 4 km from city centre. Rooms are tatty, very basic plumbing and everything is worn out. Food is good and we found the staff... more

Staff is rude and unresponsive: I was trying to figure out by phone how much the hotel will charge me for not turning up and the only "useful" information from the porter that I got was: "Sorry, I do not understand what you want", "I do not have time", "Call tomorrow"... I guess the thing that he said "sorry" once... more

Stayed in city hotel for 3 nights. We were over to see football Rep. of Ire V Slovakia. As we expected hotel full of Irish Fans, great fun no problems with other guests. However we did have a problem with some of the staff of hotel. Firstly, we were told that we were not booked in by hotel reception, keeping... more

I stayed here with my wife. We stayed in a nice business room on the 9th floor. It was a refurnished and well decorated suite with a living room and a kitchenette. The whole apartment was quite spacious and nicely done. This suite was available for around 100 euros per night (weekend tarif), which is not that bad for a... more
