We recently visited the Grand Hyatt with another couple. Our reservation had specified king beds, but when we arrived the desk had us listed as 2 double rooms. The front desk clerk gave us an upgrade to the club floor to make up for the error. I was very pleased and enjoyed every minute of our stay at this beautiful... more

Went there with my girlfriend and relaxed in the Luxurious surroundings. Really good that we had time to enjoy it. Concierge made cool recommendations for a place to eat. more

I stayed at this hotel due to a conference. First, the conference location was great and the conference rooms were nicely accomodated. I just wish I had stayed at a hotel across the street! The location of the hotel is great - the metro stop is literally inside the hotel and it is within walking distance of several tourist attractions... more

the lobby has a really beautiful decor with it's "hollowed out" center and lagoon on the bottom with a piano in the center. The location is clearly superb being within walking distance to all of the major interesctions and and points of interst within downtown D.C.. The service however is truly below average. The conceriage failed on multiple occasions. Most... more

Despite recent bad reviews, I thought I give this hotel another shot. My last stay was over 5 years ago. Paid $219 rate for one night and was put on their Premiere Members floor. Overall, the experience was above average. Nice spacous counters in bathroom, big bath/shower, comfortable bedding, clean, many elevators, good location, direct access ot the Metro, and... more

The hotel itself is average. My main problem is with the Valet service they provide. They have a company called QuikPark, Inc. do their valet service for them and we used this service and by the second day a brand new iPod Video Nano and the casette adapter had been stolen out of the car. This iPod was not visible... more

I stayed here for 5 nights to attend a convention which was convienently located 2 blocks away. Location: Pros: A nice 10 minute or so walk to the White House. Within a short walking distance to about 8 very nice restaurants and a bunch of regular food and bars. Cons: About 2 blocks away from the seedy part of town.... more

O.k., the location is very nice but the compliments stop there. Several people in our group with confirmed reservations backed by a credit card were told there were no available rooms and the desk clerk told us that its a common practice at this hotel. Another member of our group was moved by the staff while he was out of... more

Overall, stay was not very satisfying. I will not stay here again, as there are other hotels that give better value. The internet and temperature problems (see below) are not acceptable. Pro's (+) and con's (-) below: (+) Friendly front desk staff was very nice and quick to check me in. (+) Clean, spacious room. Carpet, bed mattresses and linens... more

The Grand Hyatt Washington is a nice hotel, with a "lagoon" in the lobby area. Overall, here where the pros and cons: Pros: 1. Service: I found the staff to be very friendlly and helpful. The waitstaff in the Grand Cafe lobby restaurant was very attentive. 2. Rooms: The rooms were clean and comfortable. 3. Business Center: There is an... more
