We stayed here because of it's proximity to the Verizon Center and the great rate that we got on Priceline ($69). It was an easy walk to the Verizon Center and numerous other attractions. We didn't eat at the restaurant, but we did enjoy the Starbucks right in the lobby. The room was nice, what you would expect from a... more

I stayed here while attending some ceremonies in DC in May. The hotel is very nice and the best that I have stayed in while in Washington DC. I have stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn and another Marriott property in the past. The rooms were clean and large. The bathroom was a little tight, but oh well. I really... more

The hotel is decent. But the concierge service is terrible. You will have a better luck with Google than talking to them. more

I agree wiith other reviwers, definitely not a 4 star property. I stayed there just after the Spitzer fiasco and now know for sure that the former Gov. must have had a few nuts loose. The rooms are ragged and in need of rehab. The bathrooms are tiny and old fashioned. Not that I watch much TV while on the... more

I just wanted to give a belated nod to our stay at this hotel in 2007. I could review the facilities, but why bother when they've been reviewed by everyone else. The place was clean, which is my major concern in any hotel, and very well maintained. The Starbucks in the lobby was a hit with the kids for breakfast...convenient... more

Was in town to watch the Leafs beat the Caps, and stayed at the Ren DC for its location. Overall the hotel is fine. Rooms and public areas are very clean and comfortable. The people we met are courteous (front desk, restaurant, housekeeping). If passing through just for a one-nighter, this would not be a bad choice if the rate... more

Stayed here for a conference. Hotel service and food was great. Room was quiet. Energy efficient heater rattled on and off (mostly off). Don't you hate hotels that let you set the temperature but actually only provide 70 degree air (in the winter). A great property if you have a conference here or at convention center across the street. Rooms... more

I've stayed at many of the Marriott hotels in the Washington DC area. This hotel is only adequate; it's not as good as some of the others. The main advantage of this hotel is its location if you want a short walk to Chinatown, the Verizon Center, and (in the other direction) the Convention Center. There is a fairly good... more

I stayed at this hotel for a conference that was held here. If it weren't for the conference discount rate, I probably would not have stayed here b/c of the price. The double twin bed room that I received was awesome; great plush mattress; clean; and quite. Another thing I liked about this hotel was it's close proximity to most... more

The staff is friendly and the lobby is nice but this hotel is old and the standard rooms are too small. Bathroom was tiny. I had to bend down in the shower to wash my hair. Had to have the toilet serviced in the middle of the night. TV was old. Restraunt and Bar are over-priced. Parking is $22/day No... more
