I loved the Palais Jamaii. Great views of the medina, peaceful gardens, great pool and good location in Fes. I read the other reviews, but our room had great air conditioning and great service. Food was fantastic, the buffet had fresh vegetables and local fruit and much more. The pastries and desserts were amazing. The Moroccan food is a bit... more

This is truly a beautiful property and the rooms are lovely. Service is the downside. It was quite warm while I was there and my air conditioning did not work. I requested service 4 times in my 3 days there. The problem was never fixed, so what could have been a delightful stay turned into a very unpleasant experience. Breakfast... more

A girl I met in a plane said that this is the best hotel in Fez, but the service, the room, the staff, the location. . .everything was disappointing and I really think I should have stayed in a riad. The hotel was like a maze and I got lost many times. The room was OK but looked a bit... more

Here's the thing about the Sofitel Palais Jamai...it's beautiful, it has nice grounds, and the rooms are very comfortable and stylish. The hotel is a converted palace that emanates a regal air. But it's horribly misplaced. In fact, you feel guilty staying there because of all of the poverty around you. That's what I felt for most of my stay... more

The Palais Jamai is Fes' "best" large hotel and perhaps only second to Mamounia in Marrakesh in its reputation. We were not disappointed by the comfortable rooms and superior service. It is not the "riad experience." Anyone seeking that needs look elsewhere. But for an exrtemely comfortable stay in Fes, I cannot recommend the Palais Jamai more highly. Make sure... more

I would not consider this a 5 star hotel by any means. The rooms were not like the one on the Cover of Travel and Leisure. The rooms were average. Showers were terrible. Terrible service in the hotel. You must ask at least 5 times until your request is acknowleged and than it takes at least 1 hour to service... more

Stayed here for 3 nights at the end of July 2007. We got a nice last minute deal on the room on the net (130 Euros a night - normally 260 for the same room). The hotel is very good, 5-star service, 5 star facilites, great food, included fantastic breakfast, amazing location. Overall, I have very little bad to say... more

I stayed there a few night last week at the hotel with my wife It was incredible. It's very clean and very well staffed. They somehow didn't have our booking through our travel agency but that was quickly fixed. After that, it was just nice. Our room was with the view of the front of the hotel, which was fine... more

The Palais Jamai is a great place, the staff is very helpful, and the location couldnt be better. The rooms were just fine, especially when compared to other similarly priced hotels and riads we stayed in during our trip. Be careful of some pricing, as it can be outrageous, however, in the spa for example, is priced about 1000x more... more

Our Morocco stay was about 12 days. This hotel was a major disappointment. It is certainly grand but the rooms are tired. I was shown 4 rooms before accepting one. The carpets were all stained, beds had body depressions, marble toilet floors stained. At check in, the front manager introduced himself to me, I met with him after I had... more
