The thick walls of this building insulate not only from the heat but also from the commotion outside. Because we were there in March, it was a bit cool; and we needed space heaters in addition to the cashmere blankets provided. The torn-up exterior is not representative of what you will find inside. We stayed at the Palais de Fes in March 06 and do not recommend it at all! A claustrophobic room, uncomfortable bed, tiny bathroom that smelt, dead flowers in room on arrival, flight upon flight of narrow stairs and far from being value for money.
