This is an intelligently designed lodge in the middle of the desert. Awesome views. Unbeatable "sundowners". Rooms of good size with good soundproofing and a private "terrace" overlooking the desert. Nice food. Ground squirrels playing in front of the restaurant. A little bit far from Sesriem/the entrance to the Sossusvlei area, so you have to get up one hour earlier... more

If you're thinking of staying at this lodge then I'd say don't hesitate. I wasn't really expecting much before I stayed here, as it does look quite basic on the website, but I must say the pictures don't do the lodge much justice. This lodge is in an awesome location near Solitaire and offers quite basic, but clean accomodation. Staff was the most friendliest we experienced in Namibia and food was good. They also have a nice, small pool area to relax. They also offer sundowner drives and daily trips to Sossusvlei - as well a shuttle service to/from Swakopmund or Windhoek to... more
