What a fabulous place to get away from it all. Right from the Land Rover trip to get in to the Bedford TK truck to get out the whole place is just exhilerating. The lodges are pleasant, no electicity but that adds to the charm. Hot water for showers, verandahs to relax and watch the bird life, so tranquil. Food... more

This lodge really is great. It is situated right in the park, so it takes a couple of hours to drive there from the town / airport, through deep rivers and along jungle tracks. Once there the atmosphere is just right. The accommodation is nice, with each lodge having separate rooms. There is only limited electricity in the dark, so... more

What a fantastic time we had at Chitwan, Mom, Dad and 2 children aged 11 and 7. Loved getting up early and going on the elephant safari, absolute highlight of the trip. Kids loved sleeping in the lodge (they had their own room and heard the elephants and even a tiger in the middle of the night). Was fun having... more

Part of our trip to Nepal was a visit to two special places in the south of Nepal for wildlife, Chitwan Jungle Lodge was one, the other was Koshi Tappu Reserve, further East. My wife and I were 50% of the total guests at the time, so we had exceptional service at the lodge. The mahout made a special effort... more

Certainly quite an experience. Seems like this is the place where EXPLORE (the adventure travel company) books their groups as well as a couple of other smaller english adventure tour groups - they don't stay too long so it was nice to see people our age (like them there) but then see them take off so there weren't too many... more

this is not for the faint of heart! We were jeeped into the camp. The jeep drove across a river, etc. You stay in cabins with just a dim bulb in the bathroom and a small kerosene lamp for the night time. It is fun, however. The staff are very good and they plan good activities. We did not see... more

I had the great pleasure of staying here for 4 days. The staff are incredible - knowledgable, friendly, caring. The included meals were of a very high standard. The activities were all sensational and accompanied by guides who really knew their stuff. Activities included elephant safaris and info sessions, jeep safari, village visits, cultural experiences and forays into the jungle... more

We stayed here for a night two weeks ago. We were supposed to be staying for two nights but were "evacuated" to another hotel outside of the park, due to Maoist activity which meant that no cars could be used. The hotel seemed to have been built in the 70s and not much has been done since then. It appeared... more
