Superp location and a wonderful place- tho we do not normally spend this much in asia! Not a fault with room, service and food just what we had hoped for. Lovely more
The staff at the Amari Watergate are to be commended for looking after their guests. Very professional! Immaculate rooms, excellent facilities, and great food in the Thai on 4. Centrally located for shopping or getting around town. Wine prices are a bit pricey but that is the norm in Thailand it seems so enjoy the beer or a mango smoothie... more
We stayed here in 2004, so things may have changed there. The rooms were large and clean. Breakfast extensive and delicous. A large pool area with nearby bar and plenty of deck chairs. The bar prices were steep though for Bangkok. The location of the hotel is great. Markets directly outside the hotel. A brand new 'Platinum' shopping centre across... more
This is my second time to stay in Amari Watergate Hotel because I loved it so much the first I was there last November 2007. The rooms are impeccable and the service is amazing. The staff speak excellent English and are very courteous. The executive assistant manager, Mr. Henkel and guest relation officer, Usana really took the time out from... more
After having arrived in bangkok at 9am on the overnight train from surat thani (koh samui) my wife and i had decided to spend a bit of money and stay in a more upmarket hotel for 3 days for our time in bangkok. we knew we wouldnt be allowed to check in so early but we thought we would go... more
We stayed in the Amari Watergate for 5 nights and loved it! Good central location. We had a magnificent suite; comfy bed, beautiful flower arrangements and of course, spotlessly clean. Great variety and choice at breakfast. There were lovely touches throughout our stay ,with chocolates left in the room on one occasion. I cannot compliment the staff enough. They were... more
First, it is a nice hotel, with some nice facilities. But five star? I DON'T THINK SO! Really it can't be five star. First the service was way below par. My check in experience was terrible. They didn't seem to have the room I requested and they kept typing and talking about me in Thai, looking at me, and then... more
I couldn't fault the watergate, clean spacious modern rooms in a great hotel, excellent service, great facilities, brilliant location, fab breakfast, great choice and quality...very large business hotel lacking in atmosphere but an ideal base for Bangkok and I would highly recommend it. The markets out the front & the shopping mall across the road has everything you'd find in... more
Hi, We stayed at the Amari Watergate in August 2005. We really loved it and loved the resturants and lobby. We would def stay there again, not sure about location as we got taxi's everywhere. They left a cake for us saying happy birthday, and it was our honeymoon, but nice touch anyway. The room was spacious, could have done... more
