I just spent a long week end in Bangkok at the Sukhothai hotel. This hotel is beautiful, low rise, with amazing details everywhere, wonderful food and superb service. The pool is really nice as well as the gym and the spa. We were upgraded to a deluxe suite and the bathroom was as big if not nore big that the... more

We stayed at the Sukhothai in Bangkok thinking it would be a fantastic location and a luxurious place to retire after a long day and night of touring the city. ERRONEOUS! Although the service was sub-par and the room was poor with no view and a couple of queen beds pushed together, that wasn't even that bad. After a day... more

We arrived at the Sukhithai after 21 hours of flying to being an Asian vacation. It was certainly a good idea to start there. It's a very nice place to stay, and a bit of calm in a busy and bustling city. The service is of course gracious but relaxed. The best part of the hotel is the grounds; coming... more

This is the best hotel in Bangkok. Modern, luxurious and very Thai. The Oriental and Peninsula may get the most attention but they fail to escape their chain roots. Though some elements of the hotel are due for a refurbishment, the Sukhothai is truly distinctive. more

I spent two nites at the Sukhotai. Am in Bangkok for business and I can only say: excellent. I travel often and I've never seen such a relaxing and beautiful luxury hotel. It is not crowded, the rooms are perfect, the service is unpeccable. There are a couple of good restaurants(italian and panasian) and some local art shops. The pool... more

Our executive suite at the Sukhothai was the most beautiful hotel room I'd ever seen. It was our first time to Bangkok, and my experience with top class hotels is mostly limited to Japan, so I don't know how this compares with other Bangkok hotels. The room was huge, the furnishings were luxurious, the bathroom was jaw-dropping, and the bed... more

This is a wonderful hotel in Bangkok mid-city, which has unobtrusive and pervasive good service, where the rooms are large and well-appointed, and the bathrooms luxurious . The hotel is particularly well-managed. Compared to other Bangkok luxury hotels, I thought it represented good value. The daily breakfast buffet is . . . something else! It offers virtually a myriad dishes,... more

After several days traveling in the North, this hotel was supposed to be our treat. What a disappointment! They didn't have the king bed we reserved. The room is practically off a parking garage and has a dank odor. When we complained, they did nothing. The hotel is full, so we can't change rooms. So full in fact, that we... more

Lovely calm retreat from the craziness of Bangkok with a treat of a pool. Not cheap, but good value for the quality of the rooms and facilities. Well-placed for access to Bangkok's central sites, walking distance from Pat Pong and the large night markets. If that's not your scene, the hotel's own restaurants offer a sheltered respite and it's right... more

We stayed here for 4 nights total on our travels through Thailand. I must say the service was excellent as well as the cleanliness and accommodation. The staff was courteous and friendly. The concierge was extremely helpful. He took our request for an authentic Thai seafood restaurant and made us a booking at a busy place. We found the pool... more
