This was the worst place ive ever stayed. The hotel insisted we left our key with them so they could clean the room but when we came home 8 hours later our door had been left wide open!! We got no apology from staff, in fact they screamed at us when we reported it. they refused to call the manager... more

Stayed here last week for the 3rd time in 4 years. Location good, rooms basic & serve the purpose, only bonus roof top pool. 800bt double room, aircon, hot water but, DO NOT USE SAFETY DEPOSIT BOX AT RECEPTION. I was called at 7.30am to come and check my box and knew straight away there was a problem. Fortunately valuables... more

I have been travelling around Asia for 6 months now and have stayed at a lot of guesthouses and hotels but nothing compares to the treatment I received from the staff at this hotel. The only things going for it are the two very nice swimming pools, one for the budget accomodation and one for the more expensive side (which... more

The bitterness of bad service remains long after the memory of good aspects have faded! It was sometime in late 2004 that I stayed there and found the reception staff (all female) to be rude, offhand and racist too. Times apparantly haven't changed! I'm Australian, but an Asian Australian who could pass as a Thai - Although I'd booked in... more

Rambuttri Village Inn is located in the Khao San Road area, which is the backpackers' haven of Bangkok. It's really cheap, and it's not on the main road, so it's much quieter than the places right on Khao San Road, which is the only reason I'd recommend staying here. There are very few Thai people in the Khao San Road... more

PRO'S: A busy, modern, well-priced hotel complex with rooftop pool. Great location quite close to khao san road. The Grand palace and Wat Pho are nearby attractions. Sounds great!! The hotel has a zero-tolerance policy to guests bringing prostitutes into the rooms. CONS: Being disturbed by the cleaners every morning knocking and asking whether "you check out today?" There's the... more

We realy enjoyed our stay at Rambuttri Village Inn.. I don't understand why people think the staff are so rude.. They are willing to do the basics, their english is not very good, but hey, it is Thailand! and this is not a five star hotel!! We spent at the beginning of our trip four nights at this hotel, before... more

Excellent location & pretty clean.Staff weren't the friendliest but were ok.Near restaurants and bars and the Khaosan Road but quiet enough that in a quiet area and in off the main thoroughfare. Nice pool area but tiny so get there early! Overall, I'd recommend it. more

I've never been treated so badly in a hotel. They constantly call you and knock on the door asking when you're checking out. I told them 5 times and still they left notes on my door. I complained and the lady at the desk told me to 'Go and have an accident'and then called the security guard over to threaten... more
