PN is the best value & experience for money in the middle of Bangkok city. Conveniently located some 20 minutes by tuk-tuk/cab, it offers one of the most unique value propositions - the most friendly staff in Bangkok who are ever smiling - and not just a fake smiling for the heck of customer service - and are genuinely happy... more

This hotel is such a little gem. I could not have been happier, having been travelling all day, to have arrived here and been greeted with a warm welcome and an ice cold drink! The room was ready even though it was only 8am and the staff could not do enough to help us with directions, advice and anything else... more

Our 4 day stay at PN was wonderful. First time in Bangkok for our family, but had no problems getting around from the north once we mastered the river ferry. The staff were very helpful in this. The guesthouse itself felt very genuine, clean, and breakfasts were often our favorite meal of the day there. We hope to go back. more

Very charming small hotel. Fell like at home. Nice and simple but comfortable rooms. Very nice and original decoration of the lobby, garden corridors and bedroom, exactly as per their website. Very friendly staff. Excellent free internet service available in the lobby. The best breakfast in my life, very different from usual buffet we find in big hotels. I highly... more

This was a great hotel/guesthouse. The staff is so friendly and the place has lots of character. We arrived in Bangkok late (using the airport express bus from the airport) and had a bit of trouble getting our bearings. I have to admit that the hotel is difficult to find if it's your first time in Bangkok. As soon as... more

booked period: 25-27 June 2008. Two days. i love this hotel and the people working there. Service: very warm and friendly, you will feel like you are at home and the people there are your family members. They will try to help you as much as possible. I even watched Tv with them and they happily explained the Thai plot... more

Having read many of the previous reviews of the Phranakorn-Nornlen, I'll try to not be too repetitive. Observation 1: This is a little gem of a hotel in the steamy bustle of Bangkok. It doesn't look like much from the outside. But step inside their entrance gate and you're transported to a peaceful, green oasis of young, smiling and friendly... more

I'm an American who grew up in Thailand, so I was looking for a really authentic experience for my family. The Phranakorn was it. It's small and quaint, nothing like the big fancy hotels in the tourist district. But it's real. I loved the smell of teak, the open shower, the paintings of mango trees on the walls. We are... more

What can I say that has not been said about this amazing little gem of a hotel? The Phranakorn Nornlen is an oasis of calm and relaxation in a very big and busy city and I strongly recommend it. If you want the comfort of a big hotel, don’t go for this and book something near the massive shopping centres... more

Brilliant Off the beaten track but, near the river for quick transport This is a place full of character and unique charm. A million miles away from faceless corporate hotels. The primary reason for this hotel seems to be to entertain guests - rather than make money. Free internet access, something the much expensive hotals we stayed in later on... more
