As a traveler looking to save some dough, the Chiangmai YMCA worked out great for me. At 500 baht a night (for a single, I believe 600 for a two person double) the room was very basic, but offered a very good selection of television channels, a curtained shower, a comfortable bed and air conditioning...all luxuries I have not received... more

I prefer this hotel because the income generated from The International hotel Chiangmai YMCA supports the YMCA's rural development programs. Here also has great facilities for guests, located on a tranquil street in a peaceful residential area. Location is OK, room a bit basic, the best thing was the choice of TV channels - the only place we could get English TV. Nice shop with handicrafts. The pool is not obvious and quite small but when it's hot.....Breakfast was a bit odd, you have to order, rather than having the usual buffet. So it's not generous and... more

If you're looking for a clean, quiet place to stay in Chiang Mai that is very inexpensive, the YMCA is the right place.
