Recently stayed at the Raming Lodge in Chiang Mai and was pleasantly surprised. The hotel was nicely situated - a quick walk to the night bazaar. The hotel room itself was very nice - terrific bathroom. Beds were a bit on the hard side though. All in all it was good value for the money. more

Very Thai feel to this hotel including the decor, the food and the spa. The room felt more like a mini apartment and they stock it up with fruit and snacks daily. We stayed here for three nights at the end of January. The rooms were pretty good – a large, comfortable bed, air con and a decent bathroom. The Raming Lodge is an excellent choice if you are staying in Chiang Mai. I visited Chiang Main twice in 2007. I stayed at the Raming lodge both times for an extended period of time. My room was always clean and service was superior. The service staff were always available to assist in making my stay more comfortable and carefree. more

As I booked about a week and a half before the stay we got a great deal - cheap rate, deluxe room, high floor and free mini-bar!
