First off, I have absolutely no idea where the bad reviews of this hotel seem to originate from as I can genuinely say that this is the most beautiful hotel I have ever stayed in. It really blew me away. My partner and I decided to spend 2 nights at this hotel and as I am currently 4 months pregnant,... more

The design is contemporary and sexy and yet the service is warm & hospitable. Also the location on north Chaweng beach is perfect for a short stroll to the lively collection of bars, cafes and restaurant on the beach or to hire water sporting equipments. However the Hotel is secluded from the hustle and bustle of backpackers. I would highly... more

This is an exemple, that opinions can be totally diferent, and nothing as a good research to cross as much variables as possible! First I saw the hotel site and become to be very interested to stay here. Than I went to trip advisor and I read the worst about this place. And finally, and luckly, a portuguese magazine (Blue... more

Located at the far north end of Chaweng Beach, far away from the madness, touts and beggars of the busier sections, this is a fantastic place to stay on Samui. The beach is beautiful, the staff attentive and friendly, and the food is fantastic. Commandeer one of the salas near the beach, enjoy the excellent included breakfast, and use it... more

Do not think twice, this hotel is terrible. Dirty room, terrible service, especially from the Manager Attapong Sawasdirak who would not dare talk to us preffering to lie about having an important meeting. We lost our deposit, and came close to ruining our holidays - the good news is that there is plenty of much much much better places just... more

I often stay in design hotels and I think the disparity of opinion on this site regarding this hotel could be due to a range of experience in the area? Anyway, this hotel offers few features to rave about. Certainly the staff were extremely friendly and obliging, if a little lacking in English skills, but I couldn't fault their friendliness... more

We found this hotel listed in our Lonely Planet, so we did a little internet research and booked directly via the hotel (we tried via asiarooms.com, but were not reserving 3-days in advance so we did it on our own). All-in-all we stayed 4 nights. The Japanese-styled rooms, with fantastic black-tiled bathrooms and a siphon-shaped sink, and some fantastic lemongrass... more

We have just returned from 9 nights at the Muang Kulaypan. Having stayed there 3 years ago, we were looking forward to a return visit. Time is now starting to take it's toll on the hotel. The place needs a coat of paint in many areas and more extensive work in others. We stayed during a "peak" season and I... more

We have just returned from 4 days in Koh Samui, having intially booked the Muang Kulaypan for the duration of our stay. However we lasted one night. This hotel is one of the first on the very busy, very noisy Chaweng beach road that literally runs along the whole length of the beach. Because the hotel is a C shape,... more

I stumbled upon the hotel when I arrived on Ko Samui and absolutely loved it. I thought the service was great, as was the location. It's away from the clutter and chaos of Central Chaweng Beach -- but a short walk away from it, if you're looking for a bit more excitement. The rooms are minimalist and very Zen-like, which... more
