First of all, the hotel is the Sugar Palm, but the pool towels are misspelled! It just added character to the hotel, which we loved. This hotel is the perfect distance to the beach (about a 2 minute walk past the little convenience store to buy cold drinks and snacks) where there are beach lounges to rent under the umbrellas.... more

We booked this hotel through the latestays.com site. The rooms were quite nice although I must agree that they are looking a little tired, a little disappointing considering how young the hotel is. Check in was easy, we did request two rooms both with pool access and double beds. Only one with a double bed was available the other room... more

We stayed on a floor which did not have direct access by lift and had to walk 1 flight up which could be inconvenient if one has a lot of luggage. The hotel was nice, clean and comfortable. The restaurant was great value for money and of course, happy hour starts at 1200 :) more

As many reviewers wrote already, this hotel is very nice and stylish, however it's running down because of an obvious lack of maintenance. The location is very good, a few steps from Kata beach. I stayed in a pool access room which was very fun, especially for our son who really enjoyed jumping from the room to the swimming pool.... more

We really enjoyed Sugar Palms (6 night stay). We were on the first floor with no real view but the rooms itself while getting a little rough around the edges was very nice! I found the bed hard but my partner loved it. Breakfast was fine, plenty of selections. Staff are adequate while not being over friendly. One big plus... more
