This hotel was the last one on our organised Vietnam tour and we have to say after staying at the Duxton in Saigon and the Saigon Morin in Hue, this was disappointing. Many say the sunway is not ideally located , but with taxis so cheap and plentifull it is not a problem at all . The surrounding streets of the hotel provided a never ending source of entertainment - from the many "bia hoi " bars (5000 dong or 30cents / glass ! ) , great for an hour or two... more

The Sunway is a liitle out of the action but taxis are cheap about $2 to the old quarter. It was clean with a great shower, breakfast had a good selection. Air con in the room was a little noisy. The hotel is not ideally located; albeit cab rides are reasonably cheap. We had upgraded to the club floor and found the room spacious enough with nice touches such as fresh fruit in the room. They even had this cool control panel by the bed which allows you to do everything (alarm, privacy, control temp, lights, etc.) without getting up! This hotel is clean, and has all the amenities one might look for. The rooms are large and modern. The breakfast is grand and the restaurant prices were the most reasonable of all the hotels we stayed at in Vietnam. The location is unusual and should not necessarily be cause for alarm although it takes you a few more minutes... more

Stayed here in the sweaty month of June. The Sunway was a pleasant retreat after trudging around the charming but polluted and sweaty streets of Hanoi. The best feature of the hotel was the delicious breakfast spread. The gym was adequate but the equipment was rather dated.
