Madam Cuc 127 was the first hotel we stayed in on our 3 week trip around Vietnam, Cambodia and Thailand so we of course experienced culture shock. The staff were very welcoming and friendly and offered us a drink and bananas on arrival. Our room was about 3 floors up and we had to use the stairs (2 flights of... more
I stayed at Madam Cuc 127 for three nights. I paid $12/nt which included breakfast consisting of fresh roll, jam and drink of your choice (coffee, tea or juice). They also have abundant bananas for your taking at all times which also applies to their coffee, tea and juice. They also serve instant noodles w spring rolls as "dinner" which... more
April 4th to 11th 2008 in Saigon City and environs; stayed at Madam Cuc 64, District 1; had a big room at the front for $25 night which included breakfast and a dinner time noodle snack, also tea, coffee and bananas all day long! The smallest rooms were $16 night. It was noisy at night [wear ear plugs to get... more
We stayed at Madame Cuc's 2 nights and it was great - for what we paid it was great value - although we were four floors up it was no drama as they have a cable to lift you bag up and you just have to try not forget things from your room! The breakfast consisted of a fresh roll,... more
We stayed here for two nights at Madam Cuc 127. We had a wonderful room on the top floor overlooking the main boulevard below. At night it was a bit noisy, but provided for an amazing sunrise as we were up extra early. The staff was courteous and provided us with excellent maps, along with options for day trips outside... more
We have been traveling for 3 months through SE-Asia and this hotel is one of the best we stayed at. Very friendly staff, great location, clean large room, free breakfast\dinner and internet. more
We found Madame Cuc in the DK guide to Vietnam and decided to give it a try for our last couple of nights in Saigon. It is a sweet place! The staff is friendly and helpful and were some of the few people we encountered in Vietnam who spoke English, which would have been helpful if we didn't speak Vietnamese.... more
We stayed at #184. The room was safe and clean, and all of the amenities were functional. A definite highlight of the hotel was the service, including the awesome travel and reservation assistance from the staff. There are many, many stairs, and an interesting contraption to port your luggage up them. Amongst the refreshments served are great coffee and lemonade.... more
We were ok with this choice, location is good in the heart of the backpacker district. There is a massive staircase and no elevator, thought they have a system of helping your luggage up to the 4th floor. Rooms are small but clean, breakfast is simple, bread and jam. They offer simple dinners as well. Strange experience was, that there are about... more
