Dragon Lodge is good value for money, and the owner is serivce minded. I always stay here on my visits to Vientiane. But his hotel boys could do with a bit more smiling and attentiveness. It used to be better. more

I stayed in 3 different rooms for $18 pn at Dragon Lodge, Vientiane, in June ‘06. The air-conditioning barely worked making rooms hot and stuffy. The room with the ‘best’ aircon had a broken hot water heater and no internal door bolt. Another room had such poor water flow the water heater wouldn’t kick-in. We have stayed at the Dragon Lodge a couple of times in the last three years. It is a nice and cozy guesthouse with very helpfull staff. The rooms have a good size, with large bathroom with hot water shower. Also cable TV in the room. There is no restaurant in the hotel, although there is several nice ones close... more

We stayed here 4 times as we travelled through Laos and Thailand 2005/06. The hotel is spotless, the staff are attentive and friendly and the owner is one of the nicest most helpful people I have ever met. I thoroughly recommend this hotel and I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Vientiene more
