Asmali Konak was a fine place to stay for our three day trip to Istanbul, and we would return. Keep in mind it is a bed & breakfast style hotel within a true older Turkish residential neighborhood, which you can plainly see from the windows, clothes drying on lines etc., people sweeping or sitting on steps.
