Selcuk is lovely, a great alternative to the twittering crush of cruise and cruising crowds in Kusadasi, and Homeros Pension has all the mod-cons and is a notch up in style, hospitality, and food. The rooms have AC, are spotlessly clean, and are lavishly decorated with Turkish folk art and carpentry by one of the brothers (Dervish) of five siblings... more

Homeros was the best place that I've stayed at durıng my trip to Turkey. The locatıon is great in that it is walking distance from the bus stop, St. John Basillica and the museum. At night the hotel ıs located so that there is no traffıc or loud bars to keep you from gettıng a good night sleep. The rooms... more

We read about Homeros in our Rough Guide, and we could not have made a better choice. On arrival, we we greeted with warmth by proprietors Dervish and his Mama, and made to feel like a member of the family from the start. The accommodations are extremely generous in every aspect -- space, decor, communal areas, an open air rooftop... more

I was driving around in circles trying to find a hotel in Selcuk when Dervis, the proprietor of Homeros Pension, offered to give me directions. He was so nice I took a look at his place and was enchanted. We had a lovely, comfortable, clean room on the ground floor, to accommodate my husband who is handicapped. We had dinner... more

Highly recommended pension. Rooms are clean, very comfortable and excellent value. The roof top terrace is a very comfortable place to hang out. Everyone, from Dervis, his momma and his friend Osman are very welcoming and friendly. Dervis made my time in Selcuk very memorable. Make sure you have one of Momma's dinners. This is an excellent place to stay.... more

Four of us stayed at Homeros with Dervis and his mother for three nights. We felt comfortable and relaxed in the place, which truly has a family atmosphere. The rooms were neat and nicely decorated and the covered outdoor dining / lounge area was a lovely place to relax after the day and chat with fellow guests. However the thing... more

I wandered into Homeros in Sept 2007 and it was like coming home. I stayed for 4 days. Dervis and his family are so wonderful; they made me feel at home. They drove me to the local sites and to the bus station at the end of my visit. The rooms are quirky, decorated with crazy things that Dervis finds.... more

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay of 2 nights in Sep 07 at the Homeros Pension. The rooms are decorated with Dervis' collection, thus giving them a homely feel. Besides the family terrace, guests can also relax, read and listen to music at their own salon (sitting area). Homeros served very good Turkish breakfast lots of fruits. With the exception at... more

When you stay at Homeros, you are co-opted into the family. I arrived early one morning and was greeted by lovely "Mummy", Dervis and Oya's mother, and was coaxed into having a rest on the cushions on the terrace until Oya could assist. I spent a great amount of time at Homeros, relaxing on the terrace chatting to Oya and... more

Dervis, his smiling sister, Oya, and their mother are fantastic hosts. The rooms are clean, uniquely furnished (Dervis - pronounced Dervish - is a hard working carpenter) and have the option of a/c and ensuite bathroom (proper toilet, not the more common ceramic hole in the ground). Oya serves free wine every evening at sunset (the upper terrace offers spectacular... more
