Over all this hotel is rated as superior tourist class. The rudeness of the Morning shift front desk people , encouraged by their shift managers was very disappointing. Other employees were much more pleasant welcoming and helpful. In a group of 29 as family members we asked the management of the hotel and the reception to allow us the space... more

I was so looking forward to my stay in Eilat, as I had been advised of the desirability of the area. The Reef's advertisements are most misleading. The noise is beyond belief both from the clientele and an outdoor bar and dance club located directly next door. Music blarring until the wee hours of the morning. (I even tried to... more

we stayed in the hotel in one of the junior suites. comfort is ok but not fantastic: hotel is rather old. balcony of the suite is really nice - large & fitted with long chairs, sofa and table. food was ok but not exceptional. but as there are not so many restaurants in the area, i would recommend it, unless... more

This is the worst hotel i've been in in Eilat!!! The food was horrible, me and my husband got a food poisoning after one dinner! There is loud music from a near by restaurant starting from 11pm to 2am. When we went to reception the next day to ask for another room (with windows out to the other side of... more

I chose the Reef Hotel because it was one of the few places I could get a room on short notice (1 day ahead of time) in mid-October. (The fact that you have to book directly rather than via Expedia or Hotels.com probably helped me.). Also, I wanted to be near Coral Beach to dive with Aqua Sport, and Aqua... more

The problem here is the noise. The hotel is located next to the "Village" night club that plays ear splitting music until 3:30 AM, making it impossible to sleep. Avoid the rooms on the north side (odd numbered rooms) at all costs. The management is less than friendly and if you complain, don't expect a sympathetic hearing. They know about... more

This hotel is in my opinion a solid 3 star hotel. The place is more than comfortable but not luxury. It has a perfect location for anybody looking to scuba dive while in Eilat since it is right on coral beach next to all the dive shops. The breakfast was pretty good. If you want to get into the city... more

We stayed there for 3 nights, the hotel was relatively cheap but we won't be going back again. The hotel was refurbished somewhere in the late 70s, everything was falling apart. The food was boring and the rooms as well. No entertainment at all. The radio didn't work, there was a hole in the wall, and the condition of the... more

The hotel is old, and far from the city center. It has a nice private beach, but you need a car or to take a TAXI to get around. The rooms are small - and again - old-time decorated. more

Reviews here are pretty subjective, are they? I had a great time at the Reef, although I am not sure that objectively it is "the best hotel in the world" (or even in Eilat). Bad points: - The hotel was built sometime in the 1960s, if I go by architecture and general infrastructure. However, here's a good point: the moment... more
