Sitting at the 800 foot level of Mount Carmel, this hotel boasts spectacular views of Haifa and the Mediterranean. Usually a location this high up a mountain would be inconveniently far from the commercial and cultural centers. But as much of Haifa is built up the mountain, there is plenty to do and see near the hotel. This hotel is... more

The hotel is in a nice location, has beautiful views and a great breakfast. The rooms were simple and clean. more

In its favor, the Dan Panorama, Haifa, has a remarkable view of the city. And a lavish Israeli breakfast buffet with herrings, salads, cheeses, and pastries. That's where the positives end. The rooms are old-fashioned and badly need refurbishing. The first room we were given smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. The front desk manager accused us of not having specified... more

Great hotel situated on Carmel Mountain with excellent views over the ports and coast to one side and over Haifa the other side. Excellent hospitality sadly marred by the lack of any beverage making facilities in rooms. The buffet breakfast is a sight to behold, with a choice of almost everything one could possibly want for breakfast. Location is excellent... more

In its heyday, this hotel was probably very nice and posh. But today it looks quite dated; the decor is a throwback to the 70s or 80s. The rooms are fine but nothing special. It is definitely past due for a renovation. But the location is good, it is close to the Bahai Gardens, and it is attached to a... more

Baha'i garden's View was breath taking.... more

Good hotel, in a convienient location for evening bars/restuarnts (handy as the hotel resturant was closed on Wed eve). Good bar with menu always available though. Staff very helpful. Wonderful view of the bay from the (Superior Bay View Room). Gym facilities for the more energetic amongst you. The business lounge on the top floor offers the best views and... more

Stayed for two weeks on a peace and coexistence project for students I work through Rotary. The hotel service is competent and breakfast is good for Israel but lacks any variety on a long stay. The room was smallish and the 'free' internet had daily charges. Location is in same structure as a shopping mall with an interior exit and... more

My biggest complaint was the advertised wireless internet, which costs a ridiculous $17 for 2 hours. Even if you have access to the business lounge, which has 2 desktop computers for public use, you still have to pay for the wireless internet. Otherwise, rooms are a bit run down, breakfast is good and staff is quite OK although I saw... more

Average hotel. We chose all 1st class hotel category, but not 1st class by USA standards. All of the hotels we stayed at in Israel were just average. Adequate for our budget, but not excellent. Room was for 3 persons. Myself, husband and 23 year old daughter. Double bed for us and roll away for daughter. Room small. Bathroom and... more
