Given a room that smelled like urine, so requested another room. The second room had mold in the shower and no safe, so requested another room. The third room has less mold in the shower and a safe, so I stayed. The balcony and chairs were dirty, and the sound of traffic was heard as well as the mosque's call... more

I went to Jerusalem in May. Booked with the company that God TV was using. The God TV tour in and of itself was truely wonderful and the problem was neither their fault, nor the fault of my roomy. She and I both thought we had paid for a room. Mine was booked as a single, even though the fee... more

I just returned from 2 weeks in Israel with a 5 night stay at the Regency Jerusalem Hotel. The hotel is dirty, run down and the staff is not interested making things right. The internet was expensive and was as slow as dial up. The only positive was the view of the city from my room. The food was horrible... more

Had I booked this on my own, I would have been disappointed. I stayed here 5 nights on a tour and it was fine. It used to be a Hyatt, and when it got a little run down, I guess Hyatt let it go. It does have a gym (about $10 per day), and good internet access. The pita bread... more

dowdy looking hotel, as soon as we entered and saw the dirty canopy from the outside, we knew it was trouble. Canopy dirty and falling apart. The hotel looks like a beautiful aging woman that has not taken care of herself. Musty smell when you come in , mirrors in all elevators absolutely filthy. Beautiful outdoor space, but not clean... more

The Regency is listed as a 5 star hotel, which it may have been when it was the Hyatt Regency. It is now three star. Beautiful lobby and the views of Jerusalem from some of the rooms are wonderful. The rooms themselves are tired though the bed was firm and good. The chairs are spotted and the crevices in the... more

We stayed for three nights as part of our honeymoon in Oct 2007. As we were a honeymoon couple, our room had been upgraded through our travel agent for the price of a standard room. The lobby is beautiful with water features and unusual art works! As for the room itself, it was stunning, and very spacious, with a view... more

We attended a Shabbat bar mitzva here last month and it was very nice. The hotel has not been maintained very well but it's still nice and the room was very comfortable. The decor in the public areas is well done and the service was good. The food ranged from average to above average (we had 4 full meals there)... more

Upon entering the hotel, I was impressed - a multi-storey atrium, waterfall, expansive lobby. The room (501) presented well as I entered. I spent 5 nights there and my view changed. The former Hyatt is a grand property that is not being maintained properly. My bedsheets had a blood-stain! The carpet was not vacuumed. The bathroom appears to be a... more

Our stay at this former beautiful Hyatt hotel was a bit sad because this was the place to be about 16 years ago when I was studying down the street at the Hebrew University. Now, this hotel has lots of rust throughout, stains, funny smells and signs falling off the walls. The rooms are old, simplistic and falling apart. My... more
