An amazing honeymoonI stayed here for a night, I intended to stay for my entire trip, the air conditioning and elevator were broken and the bed had fleas, I got bitten up, I moved into the Eldan next door immediately, its great more
I stayed here on a family trip to Israel. The price is great, but that is b/c the accomodations are simple. If you only want a place to rest your head and aren't looking for luxury, then this place can't be beat. It is VERY simply decorated and bedding is simple at best. But there is AC, TV w/English stations,... more
I have for many years had a real passion for the Jerusalem International YMCA, and I have happily stayed at its Three Arches Hotel for seven previous trips. I have recommended it in my noncommercial travel guide that I distribute through the Israel forum and on-line and in that forum, though with a warts-and-all honest assessment. Many people on the... more
We were on a tour where we were staying at another hotel but the last night was not included as they anticipate people will fly out that night. The tour operator wanted $300 for one additional night(about 12 hours) so we booked the YMCA instead. The room was bigger than the first class tour hotel. The guy at the front... more
We've stayed at this outwardly gorgeous and splendidly-located guesthouse many times--the last time was in 2002. We returned with our two children in May 2008 and were very disappointed: this place has gone downhill in spectacularly obvious fashion. The service is absolutely dreadful (the family-room we paid for was unavailable, so they put us in an inadequately small room, then... more
My husband and I stayed at the Three Arches YMCA for six nights, and our overall experience was good, with a few gliches. I'd give it 3-1/2 stars if that was an option! The first thing we noticed upon arrival was the lovely architecture, making us feel as if we had entered a different place and time. The lobby has... more
I stayed two nights in the YMCA in march 2008. It´s a great place, located near the old city- Jaffa gate is a 10 min. walk away. Bus stop is near the hotel if you want to get inside Jerusalem faster. The rooms are well equiped, we had TV, water boiler and fridge. If you plan to stay longer, you... more
What an amazing place. Take a seat on a sunny day in the front yard, and you can't help to get uplifted. The building is amazing with a lot of space, both inside and outside. Staff is nice and helpful. Breakfast is average. The gym is very good and free for hotel guests. My room was small, worn down and... more
It is not cheap to stay in a well located hotel and clean hotel in Jerusalem with parking (hard to find behind hotel) and breakfast (not extensive) included. Rooms are very basic and clean - in fact the clean smell was sometimes overwhelming. Included an indoor pool. An easy walk down the hill from the centre of town and a... more
This is such a beautiful building...perfectly located. The staff was incredible, so helpful and friendly and accomodating. The room could have been a little cleaner but how much time are you spending in the room anyway? also offered wireless internet in the room, for a price but, at least it's an option. The restaurant is very good, and they really... more
