The best reason to stay at the Alia Hotel is that it is very close to the airport. It's also the only reason to stay here. This is a two star hotel charging five star prices, and it isn't worth it. I stayed here as a result an unplanned overnight layover in Amman. The airport is about 30 km from... more

After getting my bags searched for the hundreth time, i waited outside in the hotel when what can only be described as a 3rd world bus arrived which as well as being filthy had most of the chairs on it unusable due to being damaged, when i got to the 'hotel' i again had my bags checked after waiting for... more

Royal Jordanian Airlines put us up at the Alia Hotel because we flew from Cairo to Amman on April 28, and there was no flight to New York (JFK) until the next morning. Little did we know! When we came to the desk, the employee, as friendly and welcoming as a prison gate, unwelcomed us: "2 double beds or one... more

In one word. "Don't" As our flight arr. late we decided that rather than pick up our hire car in the dark in a strange country we would stay close by and pick up the car from the airport next morning. First the Hotel shuttle did not arrive as promised. The Taxi we hired dropped us at the "barracades" where... more

we had to stay here one night because royal jordanian cocked up. the hotel's only positive point is that it's so close to the airport you don't need to be up for too long before your morning flight- that's the theory at least. in practice, they insisted on phoning us up and every time reminded them that we agreed we... more

I was travelling with my family and in total we were 7 of us who happend to fly by Royal Jordanian to Sri Lanka. Having arrived in Amman we were shuttled to Alia Hotel. The reception was completely mobbed by the passengers arrving from different flights. The management did not have clue as to how to handle all these layover... more

Yes, I was one of those lucky Royal Jordanian transit passengers who were shuttled to this hotel. The door wouldn't lock, the room was not clean, food in the morning was nearly inedible, and the attendants at the counter were just plain rude. As for the Royal Jordanian representative stationed at the hotel (tells you how many people get stuck... more

Terrible hotel. Created to cater to delayed poor customers on Royal Jordanian airlines.. Nobody should book there if you have the choice. It is however safe and close to the airport. more

This hotel right outside the Airport is in the middle of a desert. Rooms are very old, staff is always busy doing nothing. I had a business class ticket on Royal Jordanian, and the airline put me up in this room, as my connecting flight was to depart about 18 hours later. I would have presumed that business class travelers... more

The Alia Hotel is about a mile from the Queen Alia Airport. It is a modern full-service hotel that is perfect for a layover. The rooms are above average and provide the basics for an enjoyable stay. There is a airport shuttle that runs 24 hours and a grill and restaurant. more
