We went to the Al Husn just after New Year, to have a quiet break and get some sun. We chose the Al Husn, which is a fair bit more expensive than the other two sections of the resort, to get the privacy and peace that it offers. Upon arrival we ended up waiting for quite a while to be... more

Having spent 5 hectic day in Bangkok we were ready for some peace and quiet and some luxury!! We were not dissapointed at all. We booked 11 nights Half Board at the al bandar and wished we stayed longer. The complex is in low season due to the weather being mid 40's, this suited us greatley as we dont like... more

We got a package deal from a nearby-country's airline for a 5-day family holiday at al-Waha, the hotel in the 3-hotel complex that is billed as most "family-friendly." The location of the sprawling, but navigable, complex is gorgeous and inspires calm, nestled between mountains and the sea. Everything about the resort and the service met or exceeded expectations. My 4-year-old... more

My hubbie, son & I stayed at the Al Husn for 9 nights, and had a truly fabulous time. The place itself is stunning, great guestrooms & public areas. Fabulous pools & beach. I would however recommend famillies such as ours stay in the more child orientated adjoining Al Bander or Al Waha resorts which have more kid's facilities. It... more

Stayed 6-13 June at the Al Waha fo a bit of R & R. Can't fault the service, the staff, the hotel or the location. We had a great time. The hotel was fairly quiet as it seemed to be the end of the tourist season. Being a vegetarian I am used to having a limited choice of meals but... more

We stayed for 10 nights at the Al Bandar beginning of May 2008 and absolutely loved the place. Arrived at 5am with 3 small children, no welcome drinks or cold towels despite the hot temperature. A bit of a disappointment! The rooms were not connecting as requested but did lie next to each other on the 4th floor overlooking part... more

My husband and I stayed in this resort from 9th June to 17th June. We originally wanted to stay in the Al Husn Hotel but this has been closed for the Summer months in order for restoration work to take place on the beach area which was damaged by a cyclone last year. It is due to re-open mid September.... more

We, 4 adults and a 6 year old, stayed in the Al Bandar Hotel over the half-term holidays at the end of May, and wow, it was fabulous. We've stayed in quite a few 5 star hotels over the years and this one, in our opinion, would be in the top 5 in the Middle East. We would thoroughly recommend... more

Go get a (big) glass of wine this may go on………………. I looked into this holiday very carefully and found that Muscat was just along from Abu Dhabi, we really liked Abu Dhabi but always go somewhere different. I wanted guaranteed sun (boy I wasn’t disappointed with the sun 45 degrees every day!). We’re a family of four with two... more

We arrived at the Barr Al Jissah resort around 10pm and were immediately greeted by the reception staff and offered a drink and an ice cold towel, this was greatly appreciated as it was still around 30 degrees! Once we had checked in and shown to our room which was in the Al Bandar (there are three hotels in total... more
