We stayed for 10 nights at the Al Bandar beginning of May 2008 and absolutely loved the place. Arrived at 5am with 3 small children, no welcome drinks or cold towels despite the hot temperature. My husband and I stayed in this resort from 9th June to 17th June. We originally wanted to stay in the Al Husn Hotel but this has been closed for the Summer months in order for restoration work to take place on the beach area which was damaged by a cyclone last year. The resort consists of three linked hotels. We stayed at Al Waha. Having previously stayed at Shangri La Hotels elsewhere, this was not up to their usual standard.
