The Kandawagyi is a big hotel in a good location just outside the city center. It is generally a bit tired looking and worn down. Our room was a bit worn, dirty and the water had a brownish color. We really enjoyed this property. We only had a standard room and it was quite a large room but averagely decorated. Also didn't get the king bed we requested as they only have 10 king bed rooms!! We found the hotel to be excellent in every regard. Our room was on the first floor, right on the lake, with its own little jetty. We woke up on our first morning to a misty dawn with the sounds of an ordination ceremony, the chorale from Beethoven's 9th symphony, and calisthenics from across the lake. Talk about exotic!
