There are a lot of contrasting reviews about this hotel. Having stayed there recently, and having been a little bit fearful of what I would find, this is how it really is: 1. The lobby looks like any respectable hotel would look...that is after you arrive and forgetting that what you see on the outside is simple just aother typical... more

No doubt some of the rooms at President Hotel are in need of a serious update. And no doubt the elevator is not the hotel's best or safest feature and yes, the bellmen can be somewhat pushy, trying to get you a cab so they can score a hefty commission etc. That said, President Hotel is still a Cairo-classic, and... more

I am not able to give this hotel a very good review at all. The first room that I had gotten had tons of mold in the shower and no hot water. The beds are there hard and the room was not clean by any means. The second room I stayed in I had gotten bitten by bed bugs all... more

This hotel is located next to Chinese Embassy if i remembered right, me and my friend stayed there for 9 nights, the good points include good air conditioning, nice bathroom and quiet location. The breakfast has crossont and bread rolls, and fuul (bean with cream), the orange juice tastes like cordial, there were no eggs or meat, no fruit. Some... more

This hotel is horrible, DON"T GO THERE! Its a run down, old, smelly and wet place. We arrive in Cairo from Paris at 12am, We arrived at the hotel, it was in some back ally. As we walked in we thought well of it, then we got to the rooms! The room was stuffy with no zzopening window, air con... more

After reading trip advisor reviews for the President Hotel, Cairo, I thought I would give this hotel the benefit of the doubt. Unfortunately I was very disappointed. The first room we were given was disgusting, I would not even let my dog live there. The second one was still unacceptable but after 21 hours flying we took it. The carpet... more

On returning from our fourth long stay at the President once again I would like to say that this is one of the best hotels we stay in. It may not be the Grand Hyatt, and does not cost the same, but the welcome and service, as always, is second to none. The staff remember us when we return (no... more

We stayed here as a base in Cairo city whilst on a photo shoot. As this was the last available hotel in the city towards the end of a religious holiday we didn't have great expectations. We were proved right! Whilst the reception looks fairly clean and tidy and the staff are, in the main, very helpful there were audible... more

This is good value for money in a great location for Cairo. Zamalek is peaceful for Cairo, not too far from what you want to see and definitely the best area to stay in. We ate in 4 different, but all good-excellent, restaurants within 10 minutes walk of this hotel. That said the breakfast at President was excellent - fresh... more

We were a little shocked by the rooms at first as they weren't what we expected but once you get past the initial shock and realise that you're in Cairo and not Melbourne, we were happy with our stay. It's all about the experience. Positives: * Very Friendly Staff and Good Service * Great Location * Very Reasonably priced *... more
