We were a little shocked by the rooms at first as they weren't what we expected but once you get past the initial shock and realise that you're in Cairo and not Melbourne, we were happy with our stay. It's all about the experience. Positives: * Very Friendly Staff and Good Service * Great Location * Very Reasonably priced *... more

Well, hate to be arrogant and don't like giving bad reviews but..... as stated above a 3 star by Egyptian standards if far off from what were used to in US. In the US I think of a 3 star as a Holiday Express or something similiar, this is far different from Cairo standars. Even our Eyptian guide laughed and... more

DO NOT STAY AT THIS DUMP. Remeber I told you so. Bad small breaksfast. Plaster & paint peeling from walls & ceiling. The girls on our tour said the bedsheets were not even changed. BAD. BAD. Smal dark dirty bathrooms. more

Me and my boyfriend stayed here for a couple of nights, and found it was a great base for exploring Cairo. Zamalek (an Island in the river Nile) is a great place to seek respite from the hubbub and hassle of Cairo. The Island is home to many international embassies, and as a result it's an extremely safe location to... more

In the middle of everything, the President was a great way to be a part of Zamalek. The staff was incredibly kind and helpful. As long as you're ok with the smell of stale smoke in the hallways, This is a great little place, although many cabbies had a hard time finding it, so be sure you know exactly where... more

Well, I read the reviews of this hotel and I wasn't sure what to expect on my arrival. Innitially I booked just 3 days there, but decided to make it my place of stay for my whole time in Cairo the following day. I arrived at 3am as my flight was delayed. Adel, the night receptionist asked me where Cleopatra... more

We chose to stay at The President Hotel because it is near the AUC dormitory in Zamalek. We had a double room with a western facing balcony that was plain, but roomy and very tidy. Very comfortable beds! I think some of the complaints listed below are due to whether you have an interior or exterior room. Ours would have... more

I believe it is not the best hotel ever but it is good price /quality for Cairo. It is well located with a nice bar called "The Cellar" on the basement. The rooms are cleaned. The view from my room was not terrible (Satellite dishes)…very normal in Cairo. People were very kind and helpful at the hotel. The neighborhood is... more
