Fantastic hotel in a great location. We stayed here three nights as part of a Globus/Avalon tour and it was very good. The pyramid views are wonderful and the facility was excellent. Extremely nice rooms, a variety of good restaurants (pretty reasonably priced) and very attentive staff. Would recommend this hotel to anyone. The location is good but Cairo traffic... more

The location of the hotel is magnificent. We stayed 3 nights in a room with a pyramid view - it was worth paying the extra. The view of the Great Pyramid was very special both during the day and when it was lit up at night. This is one of the nicest hotels we have ever stayed in. The restaurants... more

We stayed here for 3 nights before a cruise on the Nile. The best thing about this hotel is the position. We had a stunning room in the new garden wing overlooking the pyramid. It is a breathtaking view, literally with the pyramids on the doorstep. Please pay the extra for the view, it is so worth it! The room... more

the mena house is indeed a historical place to stay. despite some difficulties in making a reservation via e-mail and telephone (maybe caused in technical changes in the reservation area) everything was perfectly organized, when we arrived. the reception staff was very friendly and told us, that we were upgraded from the booked suite to a deluxe suite, which contained... more

One of the best travel tip we’ve received was to stay at the Mena House while in Egypt and get a room with the view of the pyramids (when you reserved a room with the view, don’t settle for a balcony with a view, which was what they tried to put us in at first). Looking right at the pyramids... more

I had known for several years that i wanted to stay at Mena House when i visited Cairo. Perhaps I expected to much, we did enjoy ourselves - it was a great holiday but...... We e mailed the hotel in advance, to arrange a transfer and book the Moghul Room Indian Restaurant for my husbands birthday. After no reply, i... more

The Mena House has a great location if you want to be by the pyramids and not in downtown Cairo. We had an older room, which was still nice. The food was just okay and the drinks are a little pricey, but nothing you wouldn't expect from a nice hotel in Egypt. Nice and quiet if that's what you want. more

Me and my wife arrived to spend the first part of our honeymoon at the Mena House. After a tiring flight and a frantic taxi journey from the airport it was nice to arrive in the peaceful sanctuary of the Mena House. Firstly the hotel is beautiful. The grounds were well kept and pleasant to wander through during the evening.... more

We spent 7 days at the Mena House Oberoi and had a very pleasant time. Our room in the palace wing had a large balcony with splendid view on the Pyramids. It was amazing to wake up and see our window completely "filled" by the Cheops pyramid, we could almost touch it from our bed! Apart from that, the "Deluxe"... more
