Stayed here as a two day break from the bustle of Luxor. Really nice friendly staff, very welcoming place, lovely pool area. My wife and I really enjoyed the hotel. Would certainly make a return visit. The peacefull surroundings are great, with all the bustle of Aswan only a three minute ferry ride away if you want it. more

Our usual Aswan hotel is being re-furbed and the Movenpick won out over the Basma & the Isis Island as I have always been tempted by the location. We were not disappointed! We stayed at this hotel for three nights in June 2008 on the second leg of our Egypt tour as a family group of six people in three rooms. Great Hotel in a Nice location with great service. Stayed as part of a Globus/Avalon tour and was treated very well. Rooms are spacious, comfortable with great bathrooms. We just stayed for one night at the Movenpick Aswan. We liked the location on an island on the Nile, far the city noice. The hotel is still in the process of renovation. Rooms are nice, the swimming pool area is OK but nothing wonderful. We booked a transfer from the airport to the hotel but they never showed up.... more
