We travelled to Luxor on a budget and stayed 3 nights at what was the New WInter Palace. For the price we paid we were very pleased with the overall quality of the room and hotel. The room itself was a little jaded but very spacious and as we spent very little time in it, it was not a problem... more

I got a great deal with this property on Travelocity so I couldn't pass it up, about US$70 per night for 3 nights. We stayed in the Pavillon wing and I didn't regret it as I didn't want any noise from the street coming in. Arriving from Cairo I was on frustration mode from that large city. The feel of... more

We have just returned from a stay in the Sofitel Winter Palace. After hearing and reading comments it would seem that people have not understood this is three Hotels in one The Winter Palace is the Deluxe part with the other two having use of the facilities. The Garden Pavilion is classed as a 4 Star hotel. The New Winter... more

I stayed at The New Winter Palce in January 08. We had requested a Nile view but on arrival we were told we were staying in a room facing the garden area and pool. May i say after speaking to people with a Nile view i am glad we were, they did not have a good word to say about... more

We spent 2 nights at the New Winter Palace. The room was sub-standard, the bathtub was cracked, leaky and squished under our feet and the carpet hadn't been washed in years. The entire wing needed a good cleaning. The breakfast was horrible. However, the location was excellent and the view of the Nile was spectacular (although noisy due to traffic).... more

We done this only last week and ended up in hospital... check the internet it's all on there..... So advice givers.... Are you going to compensate me?... more

Wonderfull hotel, lovely big room & bathroom, very clean. If you want to go on the Balloon ride book it at the hotel it is a lot cheaper than booking it through the agent, we had an excellent ride & they really looked after you, they are called SINDIBAD BALLOONS. We also found a lovely Restaurant called PALS in Luxor... more

I am sorry this review is so late, but here goes anyway. I have visited this hotel a good few times and have stayed in Luxor many times now over the years. Although the New Winter Palace is basically an annexe to the Old Winter Palace, which is 5 star, the New Winter Palace is certainly not of this class... more

We got off our plane expecting to be put into the pyrimisa Isis hotel, where we were told we had been "upgraded" to the New WInter Palace. SInce it was our honeymoon we didn't want to spoil things we agreed. The hotel is right next door to luxor temple and is perfectly situated in the middle of everything! Upon arrival... more
