We stayed at this lodge for 3 days as part of the safari package. It has a superb setting next the river where numerous animals inlcuding hippo, crocs, etc can be seen. The rooms are a good standard (although all we seemed to do we sleep in them). The buffet food is pretty good and the dining / bar area... more

Just returned few days ago stayed at Mara Simba 1st-4thJune 08 VERY QUIET! Tourism still hit hard more staff than guests! Although the setting is brilliant would definately recommend upgrading to tents over the lodges, those in lodges complained about the noise & thin walls, but tents were lovely very authentic, a taste of africa with the lake outside with... more

We stayed here on our honeymoon. The hotel was really beautiful, built from wood up above a river full of hippos and crocodiles. The rooms were in cottages of about 4 rooms per building and they were clean and comfortable. The food was lovely and there was a wide choice and there was a lovely bar with a roaring fire.... more

Hi all, Sorry for my late review! We stayed here from the 8th of Dec 2007 for 2 nights. The log cabins are as stated before, they are fantastic, basic but still fantastic! Our location of cabins were 4 upstairs and 4 on ground level,It was further away from all amenities, but we were closer to the wilderness ! The views... more

We booked our safari through Lilac Adventures before we came to Kenya. I would certainly book through them again and would recomend them to friends and families. They were reasonably priced and Daniel from Lilac was superb. He responded instantly to all emails and then one of his colleagues James came to our hotel prior to the safari to confirm... more

We stayed here for 3 nights in our week long Safari with Africa Point. It was a really very peacefull place. The rooms have small balconies overlooking to a small river with hippos inside! :) The small huts were so nice in the middle of forest like lodge. we could find good chance to observe environment even in the lodge. more

We stayed at the lodge for 2 nights as a part of the week long safari in Kenya will Pollmans. This was the first lodge that we stopped at, and initially, you don't know how it measures up to the rest of the trip. In my estimation, the accomodations are below average, the food and service are above average. It... more

We booked a one night safari in late september 07. We chose Mara Simba by a brillient system my friend liked the name. We were nervous as to what to expect and thought we would be roughing it for a night. How wrong could we be. It was great in all honesty I would have stayed there for my whole... more

The lodge, the setting and the people made for an outstanding three day stay! Highlights were the animals, well spotted by our very knowledgable driver, geoffrey, we were very lucky to have him. And of course sitting in the bar sipping a Hakuma Matata cocktail (watch out for the locally brewed brandy!) whilst watching Hippo's, Crocs' and birds in the... more

What a beautiful lodge. We went in September this year as part of our honeymoon and did not know what to expect, however the lodge far exceeded our expectations. The surroundings and lodge itself were lovely and the game drives started the second you left the the hotel grounds! Our driver Geoffrey was excellent with a keen eye for spotting... more
